Translation service

IPRIS works closely with one of the worlds largest patent translation specialist, annually translating more than 30,000 patents and IP-related documents. All translations are carried out by subject specialists who have been additionally trained for patent work.

We can provide translation of patent applications, priority documents, etc. for filing at patent offices worldwide, and translation for litigation purposes. Translation for EP validation, and for filing in Japan, translation for PCT applications entering the national/regional phases, and translation for information purposes (competitor survey, freedom-to-operate analysis)

Translations for filing purposes are independently checked word-for-word by linguists from a proofreading team. Translations of applications can be provided in a format ready for filing in the USA, Europe, Japan and other countries, as required. This service includes any certification (translator's declaration, notarisation, legalisation, etc.) which may be necessary.
